I hope this link works it might not… but it’s the funniest and typical thing I’ve seen
How this footage is out there I don’t know but it’s really made me chuckle
But Wilf is sitting on ground at training watching a training game , Mateta jumps for the ball and Wilf is shaking his head in disbelief and goes “nah man see the way he jumps , I mean what is he jumping for”

“This is a crisis, a large crisis.... in fact if you have a moment, it’s a 12 storey crisis, magnificent entrance hall, carpeting throughout, 24 hour portage , and an enormous sign on the roof saying “This , is a large crisis” - Edmund Blackadder

Wilf is in no position to heckle anyone. Can count on one hand the number of decent games he's had in the last few years.

When I watched it last night I couldn't hear what he was saying but now its pointed out can hear it clearly. Unreal isn't it.
Theres another bit right at the end where Mateta, Eze and Lokonga are practicing shooting and you've got Lokonga sitting on a ball telling the coach "finish on this one yeah" and Mateta crossing his neck saying "thats it". I thought f*** me you lot should be wanting to camp out all night practicing shooting not sitting around being desperate to finish.
Unless they had to make it to the Gucci shop before closing for the next arrive in style video.

This just sums up the calibre of player that we continually end up with at this club, I'm afraid.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

Taking the p on the trainng ground has been going on since training grounds were invented

I dont make wilf wrong though if he had more decent crosses to practice on he might get a bit better at it .

And we still need a striker

Just reinforces my opinion that a lot of modern footballers are overpaid, joke, lazy t***s. Our team seems the laziest I can remember it. With our penchant for past players, do we have Razor as fitness coach?

Wilf clearly doesn't rate Mateta at all. He seems to actively avoid passing to him in games, whereas he will look to play off Edouard.

Mateta is the laziest player in the PL. Doesnt press or run back when he loses the ball which is a lot as he couldnt trap a bag of cement. I hope Roy persuades him to run a lot more.

As far as I remember German press reports at this time, Mainz also wanted to give Mateta away for disciplinary reasons. So it could be that he is fundamentally not the most compatible. Even worse when you can‘ t compensate arrogance with perfomance.

Patrick Vieira mentioned quite recently that Mateta's work out of possession has been fantastic for the team and Parish said last year that the player is a model professional who keeps running and trying.
