If rumour true ? Then its pretty risk free .We can still get a new manager in later if it all goes pear shaped early on !!!And no big compo to pay out.

You really are a muppet how is it risk free. Not at all regardless of whether you think it is a good or bad idea. I obviously think it’s an awful idea. Not just the risk involved the fact that our younger players now have no hope for a year. It’s dreadful

Can bet you any money. It will turn even more sour than when he managed last

I am happy to bet you one thousand pounds we do not get relegated end of the 2023/24 season.

Let's see if your wallet is as big as your mouth.

We can find someone on here to hold the stakes.

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

Perhaps a cheeky fiver instead not everyone can afford a thousand pounds.

Appointing Roy kicks the can further down the road, at which point when reaching the junction, Parish has to make a decision for the longer term, that is, appointing a manager that reflects the desired aim of bringing through younger players to play a presumably possession based style of football.

But so far as I know, Roy hasn't actually been appointed yet?

There is no reason why we should not be achieving this season what Brentford and Fulham did last season. Maybe Parish is waiting to see what happens with Steve Cooper at Forest. He could easily get the tin tack by Xmas. Start the season with the old boy on a 1 year contract then if SC gets sacked by the Greek Pavarotti get him in and give Roy his Rolex as a farewell xmas present.

Sorted.

Roy is a Cheap pair of hands and will accept the loan deals and frees, coming his way from SP,without question and just buckle down and make the best of it.
Other candidates would refuse to operate under such draconian conditions, like Cooper, Rogers and Potter.

I have edited my quote of your post to make it more accurate. If as you say other managers wouldn't accept the operating conditions that Parish would impose aren't we just delaying the inevitable for another year when the same problem will be facing the club or are we just going to keep appointing Roy until he dies in post

You really should stop now, you’re just making yourself look more idiotic every time you post.
Eberechi Eze has credited the "insane wisdom" of veteran Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson for helping him earn a first call-up to the England senior squad.
The 24-year-old is part of England manager Gareth Southgate's squad for the Euro 2024 qualifiers against Malta away on Friday and at home to North Macedonia on Monday.
"I am very grateful to Roy for all he did in helping me regain form. He helped me massively with my mental state too," winger Eze, who scored 10 Premier League goals last season, told reporters at a press conference on Tuesday.

Another poster has used the phrase 'kicking the can down the road' ME and I like that.

That's not a moan from me however, I am very much a 'one season at a time' kinda guy and Roy suits for now.

What bothers me is that outside of our old school, pragmatic, blood and guts managers we've had a failed PV, an even bigger failure with FdB and Alan Pardew who after showing some promise became sidetracked with his preparations for the World W@nker Championships.

Whatever the move on from Roy will be, in order to show any 'ambition' it will come with added risk. I'd rather some very sincere time and thought went into that decision. Roy might afford us the time at least.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

He seems to be lost for words

“That’s a joke son, I say, that’s a joke.” “Nice boy, but he’s sharp as a throw pillow.” “He’s so dumb he thinks a Mexican border pays rent” “ “Son… I say, son, some people are so narrow minded they can look through a keyhole with both eyes.”__ Forhorn Leghorn
