I am afraid that there is too much in this article for me at this time of night but I think I get the gist. The problem is that how do you define what is a left or right wing view? If the decision maker is to the far left then any view that is not on his end of the spectrum will be labelled as extreme and cancelled. Likewise you will be cancelled if you are considered to be a climate change denier but what if you believe that climate change is happening but that mankind is not necessarily responsible for it? Again likely to be cancelled and so the silencing of potentially valid discussion points are pushed into the extreme category and denied a voice. Brainwashed by exclusion of other views, which is where we seem to be with trans rights and climate change, and doubtless there will be other topics that will be absorbed into the cancel culture and ‘centre’ views will be denied.
