It's all about the money. That'll never change. Do you think lead was taken out of petrol for environmental reasons ? or is the cheaper Benzene (a known carcinogen) really a less harmful substance ?
Where do all the green taxes go ? All green taxes should be ring-fenced into projects like this, for longer-term thinking/planning.

The taxes go into the Government coffers and help fund flights around the world for our MP's to represent us at the next Climate Summit in the most expensive hotels.
