A good perspective Matov. I have relatives who were RAF flightcrew in the 1960s and 1970's. There are a few accounts in their flight log books about UFO/UAP encounters. Either on radar, or visual. Having an interest in space, I find it difficult to believe that UAPs would come from another planet and not be spotted/detected before they even got within a million miles of earth. So although UAP's are a definite phenomenon, they are almost certainly of human origin. Just my opinion. And I thoroughly enjoyed watching Close Encounters of the Third Kind last week Edited by Forest Hillbilly (27 Jul 2023 9.28am) How do you know they aren't? NASA has been accused of covering up sightings. Of course, this all assumes that we can actually detect these alleged spacecraft that could be hundreds, thousands or even millions of years ahead of our technology. We don't even know they are aliens. They could be from the future. All possibilities exist until we know otherwise.

I have always considered myself to be a 'nuts and bolts' Ufologist in terms of wanting to see the phyiscal evidence and the radar returns but over the last decade or so, have had to start considering that there may well be an inter-dimensional element to all of this as well. And interestingly, this was touched upon yesterday. Try as I may, the heavy physics around such theoretical notions of worm-holes are way beyond the capabilities of my weary old crust but even just grasping the basic idea of it being possible to 'bend' time/space means that our conventional notions of having to travel from A to B in a straight, linear line, might be utterly redundant when it comes to what is happening. With the ramifications of that, beyond mind-blowing.

Well yes, and that is kind of the point. We could be dealing with technological beings that are as we are to chimpanzees or even lesser animals. Being more evolved in the biological sense might not even be necessary. Perhaps any race with similar capabilities just needs time to develop advanced technology, and it might be that sudden leaps are possible given significant discoveries. Look how far we have come in 100 years.

As somebody massively ignorant and nowhere near possessing the intellectual capability of grasping the science behind all of this, I must say I do find it intriguing however possibly like many others there is a point where I do just drop off in understanding what is being discussed, proposed etc. and lose interest. On hopefully a more digestible note, and to ask those with more interest/understanding of all this, isn't it fair to assume that if 'alien' technology were in the hands of human beings that could completely alter any global power dynamic? I was under the again ignorant impression that one narrative had been built around government 'x' holding such information but not wanting government 'y' to get their hands on it? That's the extent of my contribution but a genuine question as were rabbit holes to be further explored it could explain or justify the alleged secrecy around such things.
Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!! |

For any aliens to physically visit us would necessitate technology far in advance of that of us Earthlings. I see a film here: Highly intelligent and technically advanced visit a planet and find it perfect for life. Perfect distance from a stable star, a moon big enough to cause tides and weather systems. And lots of water. OK a bit volcanic in places but the big negative is the top species. It's a parasite and harmful to every ecosystem it encounters. It's also warlike and incapable of living together peacefully. It has created good art and music but this is peanuts compared to the damage the species inflicts on its environment. You know what they'd do, it's a no-brainer. New species colonises a galactic paradice. Happy ending. I do not want Tom Cruise in this film.

Look up Project Aurora for the kind of things the US allegedly has. You might even see it in the sky, or hear it, around 2 in the morning or so. Certainly Scottish and Irish sightings.

Given the sheer magnitude of the Universe, and again the maths cause my ears to bleed, if they have the ability to visit us, they have the ability to visit anywhere. Meaning that can settle where they want. You want a way out there theory? Simulation theory. And these little green b******s are the ones moving the mouse around on the 3 D computer screen that is our particularly sordid little game!

Upon further thought it might have been somewhat amusing to spectate me losing my sh!t from time to time or staring bewildered from the Lower Holmesdale, trying to figure out exactly what purpose Mark Kennedy and Stuart Green served on a football pitch. Bit harsh perhaps but that's my memory of it all!
