Fantastic news.

Surely we've got to offer Eze the same now to keep him happy.

But it needs to stop with those two as they're by far our best players, otherwise it gets out of control.

Everyone else can go whistle. (Unless we sign Mbappe then he can have parity)

This has made my day.

Believe me, if I see Michael in a Palace shirt with the ball at his feet for even just one more season, I'll be as happy as a pig in poo.

To my eyes, he has the ability, vision and professionalism to grace the game at the highest level for years to come.

With that in mind, the most important thing is that he now is given time and tenderness to recover fully from his serious injury. I don't wish this just for Palace but for the football itself.

Players like Michael Olise are the reason I watch the game, to be honest.

People may disagree with this, of course, but he's the kind of player the term 'The Beautiful Game' was coined for, in my opinion.

21? Ridiculous.

Yup. Made my day.

If I understand this correctly, I am aligned.

Can come across incorrectly as a snobby arrogance but I’ve always loved footballers who made the game look like art.

Outside of Palace, I can of course appreciate the likes of Ronaldo, Lewandowski, Haaland etc (for some modern names) but I always appreciated far more the likes of Socrates, Bergkamp and Zidane who to me looked balletic in the way they play the game.

Doesn’t always have to be some of the greatest names to play the game, I’ve seen those with this style in Sunday League, but Olise for me is in that bracket.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

He has the potential to follow in the De Bruyne mould, imo: vision, execution of pass and magic wand of a left foot.

Am I over-selling him? Lol

Not going over the top there's something about the way he plays that makes me feel like a kid again. Eze on the ball is a thing of beauty and is a pure pleasure to watch; Olise is thrilling in a different way. Maybe Wilf did it for so long that it almost became expected but the two of them make me feel about football the way I haven't felt for over 50 years and didn't think I would again. I honestly can't think of any current players I'd swap for either of them.

Classic example was that weird shot at home last season that looped up looked like it was going wide then hit the post. Zaha scored. People said he miskicked it. Then he did something very similar when his shot ended up in the top corner at West Ham getting a last minute winner.
The boy is unique. Lets hope he makes a 100% recovery and delivers more magic.

Absolutely. No wonder he didn't celebrate much after that Zaha goal; after all, it was Olise's magic with the curl on that shot. We all had to look three times to see what had occurred. The crowd went the wrong way haha.

Yes, his recovery is all that matters to me.

I’m more chuffed than Chuffy the choo-choo.

That signature has got to be worth 10 points for the season.
At a cost of c£2.1m, it’s very good business.

"When he arrived you could see his talent particularly his first touch and sweet left foot. I also thought he has always been pretty quick. Initially he could not oust Ayew from his role on the right as he had no idea on how to defend and could only come inside on his left foot when he took on a player.
However, particularly over last season, he has has really developed. He can now go past players on both sides and he can now track back and take up good positions defensively.
He is a top top player and Chelsea are getting him on the cheap. It is though time to move on and see if we can find a decent replacement and reflect on the privilege it has been to see him play and develop for us.
Those of us who had to endure some of the rubbish players i watched when i first went to Palace in the late 70's and early 80's will understand."
That was my resigned to losing Olise post from yesterday - wow we now get to carry on the journey. I don't want to temp fate but if he carry's on the same trajectory and if he does end up been sold down the line he could be our first 100 million sale ( which is ridiculous for any soccer player ) In mean time enjoy the journey - i certainly will be.
