'Sunak halved schools repair budget in 2021 - civil servant'.

Hunt on TV - we will spend all it takes etc. no it's to come from existing budgets - Treasury.

Rubbish exam results treated as ok.

Worst of all can it be true that 1 in 5 now don't go to school at all?

TB - 'Education, education, education'.

It is really off the scale how bad the tories have been.

Sure blame the government not the parents.

I read somewhere that teachers would ensure that impacted school stay open.
It's reassuring to know that so many teachers contain additional vocations of structural engineers, Health and Safety experts, and worksite labourers.
It seems to be the teacher's lot to have to deal with the shlt. oh, and teach the kids that actually attend school too,...

Our schools are falling down so pupils can't learn.

Our doctors and ambulance workers strike so ill people can't get treated.

Train staff go on strike so people can't travel.

Thousands of illegal immigrants (blokes mainly) are entering the country and being put up in posh hotels while our indigenous, poorer population live in mouldy accommodation.

etcetera, etcetera, etcetera, etbloomingcetera.

It all feels like our once beloved Country has gone to the dogs.

What the heck are the other lot going to do to fix it all? They seem able to criticise, but unable to suggest a plan to fix our broken Country. All very sad.

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

I was musing what the response might be if the HoC or HoL were impacted.
"Right, this needs to be fixed right now. All MP's to take 6 months 'working at home' while the whole thing is demolished and re-built properly. Cue lots of expenses claims for "fact finding trips to the Maldives".

I'm sick of the lot of them. The crumbling building are symptomatic of our decaying political system, which is no longer fit for purpose. They are all are bunch of failing ar53holes

Parliament is actually crumbling and they reckon it's going to take billions to repair it. However nothing has happened so far as this will be a cross party decision so unfortunately Steeleye can't blame the wicked Tories.

One suggestion is that Parliament is moved to York or Birmingham for the duration of the renovation, apparently that has not gone down well especially with the MPs for those parts who couldn't wait to leave. (just kidding about the last bit).

No problem, they can re-locate to the 'Bibby Stockholm'.

I mean, they are telling us how ideal it is, so why not go there?

Imagine them having to cope in such under-privileged circumstances.

And I mean, they can test out the fire regulations for themselves!

There's also a very adjacent mooring rope that is really tempting.

Or they could re-locate the MP's to one of those asylum ships moored off the southern coast,
Preferably a ship with lots of big holes below the waterline

The common sense person may think that if you're a genuine asylum seeker or refugee, that you'd be happy with wherever you were. A five star hotel is not part of the deal in any other country.
However, it's pretty obvious that the amount of chancers amongst the asylum seekers - of whom at the most around 20% are genuine - that they'll set fire to the boat themselves. Therein lies the real problem.
Perhaps no one noticed the fires at and near refugee camps across Europe - notably Greece?

Gets my vote. But I insist that they take public transport after all we have to think of the environment so no taxis or chauffeur driven cars.

Gillian Keegan caught saying ‘everyone else has sat on arse’ over concrete crisis.

The Colosseum in Rome, built 2000 years ago with Roman concrete, still stands.

To take advantage of such standards, we will obviously have to rejoin the EU.

Or crumble to dust with the conservative party.

Last I saw Ireland was in the EU.
