I was disappointed when Hodgson was re-appointed for this season, believing that he should have seen last season's cameo as a final hurrah and that it was time to move on. However, once he was appointed, I backed him as he was our manager and I was hoping that he would have us playing more on the front foot as we did during his cameo. A combination of injuries to key players and his natural cautious approach resulted in the return of Royball, however. I accepted it until he began making his somewhat off-the-cuff remarks about youngsters and fans and his allowing his frustrations to get the better of him. I sense he may have reached the point of treading water and that's not good enough. I have been supportive of Hodgson during his tenure at the club, recognizing that he was managing an ageing and declining squad during his 4 year tenure and that he achieved the board's aim of PL status retention. I would not be unhappy if he and Parish agree it's time for him to step down before the January window and allow someone else to take the reins. As to who? Well I would hope Parish has been sounding a few unemployed managers out. Cooper till the end of the season wouldn't be a disaster IMO. It would enable us all to see whether he has what it takes to turn us round. It also enables him to keep his options open for next season.

He wasn’t suited to the very top jobs such as Liverpool or England, but he’s done well and is highly respected for his work elsewhere. He needs time to recover and consider his options. 19% win rate in the Premier doesn't isn't a good record.

After Nottm Forest were promoted they signed 29 players in their first season back in the PL.This season they have signed 14 players. Cooper found it challenging having such a large squad.
