Like many I have been a strong Roy supporter, and his win against Man U early in the season was brilliant. However, he has struggled to balance the team this year and stalwarts like Schlupp have become less effective. It is true that we have injuries but Olise and Eze have largely got us out of jail when we are struggling. The defence ( previously Roy’s strongpoint) has been found out too often and we are conceding too many set piece goals. We do need a change.

I have been in communication with a few supporters today and to a man they believe that a change is necessary.

That's the easy bit. Do any of them suggest who should replace him?

I suspect the most effective protest would be to stay well clear of Selhurst Park. Rows and rows of empty seats would send a powerful message and the 'Optics' would not look good.
Not that I am advocating this course of action.

I would agree if people was paying for just the ticket but they are not most will hold season tickets meaning the club is getting your money anyway.

And the club have the right to cancel their tickets.

I'll tell you what I understand.

Negativity achieves nothing in football and you are the king of negativity.
Those at the club will be keener than anyone to improve things.

We have lost Zaha, Doucoure and now Eze and Olise, not to mention Joel Ward of late.
That is the primary reason why we have struggled. You can argue about summer transfers and tactics but they are not the primary causes.
Talking about the medical staff is just conjecture. You have no idea what goes on.

No the club needs valid reasons to just cancel tickets and even if they do they will need to offer refund.

Who would want to pay to watch that rubbish it's why I stopped going.

Ward such a massive loss that guy is world class as I said you are clueless.

Did I say only medical staff NO

Again go and get educated on how football works its a team game and not just the 11 on the pitch the team is all the staff as well this works like a business does.

i dont think henderson has been at fault for any of the goals in the last 2 games, especially the sheff utd game, one deflection the other was guehi and richards fault..yesterday 2 headers, our CB's seem to have forgotten to head the ball.

I prefer Johnstone because his distribution is better than Henderson. He also looks in control and the defence seems calmer when he plays? I do think that Henderson is a good goalkeeper though but still don’t understand why he was purchased instead of a cheaper but good backup to Johnstone?

Many on here said yesterday when we were 3-0 down that it would be crazy to bring on Olise unless we scored 2 goals in first 30 mins of second half. Only then would the gamble be proportionate as he would only have 20 mins to navigate and we would have a real sniff of getting something.

I was head in hands when he came on beginning of second half when we were still 3-0 down. It was asking for trouble and odds on a hiding to nothing.

An odd decision from Roy and one of his big gaffs.

About the only positive thing from yesterday was Mateta's excellent headed goal, which I don't think anyone has mentioned.
Clutching at straws I know, but impressive nonetheless.
With minus 14 GD we need all the help we can get.

The little box within the bigger box is the keeper’s domain. They are supposed to control that area. Neither Johnstone or Henderson do but Johnstone is marginally better.

Henderson looked glued to the spot whenever the ball was crossed, so I can’t agree that he was entirely without blame for two of the goals. Even if he can’t get there himself he should be directing the defence but he looks like a young kid rather than a dominant keeper.

I don't think Henderson was particularly to blame for the 4 goals but he has now conceded 11 in the last 3 games. His appointment (and high wages) is a sorry condemnation of Parish/Freedman's mind set. I would much prefer Johnstone who, after all, is a current England international.

Parish should stay until an orderly buy out is achieved. Where he stands indicted is his reluctance to take action over the manager.

I have to say Hodgson has lost it. He picks the same line-up match after match so that the opposition know exactly how we will play and take full advantage of it. He has no offensive ambition or idea, is reluctant to drop his favourites who have been proven inadequate. He does have younger talent but patently mistrusts them. His decision to risk Olise was incomprehensible and he has rightly been criticised in the press (and by us - but we don't count) His deluded belief that 'heart and effort' will suffice is
pathetic.

In his dotage he still feels he can rectify the decline but it will take some doing with our confidence shattered.

Yep. Good post

It certainly was.

If the medical team said that they felt Olise could manage 45 minutes, he should have been properly warmed up pre match and started the game.

Bringing him on with the game already done made no sense.

As soon as Olise pulled up on the halfway line, I left the stadium, I was so angry.
