I got one would not criticise Steve Parish.
He is Palace through and through and a bloody good Businessman.
He does what is best for us within the confines of the size of Club that we are.
Has he made mistakes - probably, on purpose - never.
He will be hurting like the rest of us and he will sort things out.

I really struggle to see what purpose it would serve Steve Parish to either deliberately mismanage the club or be fiddling whilst his proverbial Rome burns. Criticism of him - of course, it's football! Outright attacks on him - get a grip!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I also think Parish is in the weird position of he has probably taken us as far as he can and thats not a bad thing, its a way of life - he hasnt got the money and relies on the americans or other investors.

A positive of Parish in his tenure was he usually knew when to pull the trigger and bring in a firefighter (Pulis, Allardyce, Hodgson)

The negative is when he choses someone to play 'better football' it always comes crashing down (De Boer, Viera (may not been his fault), Pardew (should of been sacked way earlier than he was though)

Sort of in some weird time loop paradox that I think will always be the case for a club of our size.

I just find it incredible that Parish & Co couldn't see for a numbers of seasons how inadequate we were in the fullback positions, whilst in the meantime getting together a collection of mediocre midfielders, none who get to play because the manager prefers a centre back in that position. Risible.
As Parish signed off another set of cheques for a first choice keeper worse than the first choice keeper we already had, or a young Brazilian with only a few games under his belt, or another sick note centre half, did he not question whether something was awry? Or does he fully trust his chums Dougie and Brighty to deal with football matters while he adds the finishing touches to his balsawood stadium model that takes pride of place in his office?
Even if we do survive this season there's nothing to suggest we will have learned anything for next season, but if we were relegated there would at least be the chance for a fresh start.

Parish has done an excellent job, in the past, but now has made a complete pigs ear of the boardroom set up, alienated our only two major financers, and a people say, he is not a stupid man, but, has he managed the voting set up so nobody makes a decision, and has he an "i must be in charge" mentality that doesn't benefit the club.

Do we know that?

Perhaps Harris and Blitzer are happy to let Steve run the club, Textor certainly has a problem with it and has said so.

But we never hear from Harris and Blitzer so I have no idea what either thinks.

They cannot be happy, they don't put their money into the club although they are worth over 10 billion USD, the last i heard they wanted in at Chelsea and Man Utd, i would like to ask why they don't put more money into the club, do they think its a white elephant or are they disillusioned at the club , they cant be happy with the current position on and off the pitch

So I can only interpret all of this as conjecture as I certainly have no hard evidence, although the narrative would seem to have some logic to it.

If so, then again, criticism may well be worthy. I don't however believe that Parish has done these things without Palace in mind, purely acting in interest of self.

I'd been moaning about full backs, lack of Wilf replacement, bizarre signings in general, Roy etc. for some time too however I can distinguish between criticising football decisions as a fan and attacking the owner beyond that.

You look at the many available examples of awful club owners who come in and milk the business dry and Parish is as far from them as possible. He may well have hit a ceiling with us which is unsustainable however I'm not minded to get overly angry at him. If there's another Palace fan who has billions tucked away and Parish blocks their purchase of the club then fine but beyond that, I'll have a good moan at surface level but that's the extent of it.

The likelihood of Saudis etc. coming in with blank chequebooks and trying to propel us to world domination is low but even if it did happen, it may kill the soul of the club. So beyond that I can't help but think any effort to drive out an owner who has overseen our most successful period in yonks, and supports the club himself, just equates to us tying our own noose as fans.

A lot is being said about the voting setup that's (presumably?) in place with disproportionate voting rights not following shareholding being a Parish scheme. It just don't ring true to me though, as this seems to follow the assumption that somehow the other board members were hoodwinked into it or cowered when introduced to Parish and just signed over their money going "of course sir, whatever you say sir, Mr. Parish sir".

Obviously, neither is true, so the only conclusion is that they were fully aware of the setup and said "yeah that's ok" before signing on the dotted line. We're talking about two billionaires with a history in sports investment and Textor who already is aware of how a football club is run as he had three before Palace.

I just don't buy this line of it being Parish's hubris or ego that forced this voting rights situation. They obviously had to agree to it, didn't have a problem with it (as they don't seem to override his decisions), and have let it continue without challenge. If they wanted Parish out I'm sure it would happen, I can't imagine anyone putting millions of pounds into the club without some fairly hefty reassurances that they could take control as a majority if they wanted to.

Probably not but as they never make an appearance at SP and are rumored to want to sell their shares I suspect that up and until now they have been happy with Parish making the day to day decisions.

They can outvote Steve if they really want to and no doubt Textor would join them.

For now I suspect they will let him get on with it because there is no obvious replacement, Textor? Well his track record isn't great and he likes to spend money something that Blitzer and Harris seem adverse to.

Achieving only £5m (Benteke) in transfer income in the past 3 years has to be high up the list.

That's symptomatic of:

a) Owning a load of crap no-one else wants
b) No succession planning - reliance on individuals we're terrified to sell
c) Both

Last summer was a travesty. Franca and Henderson is not the way to spend £40m when Olise had a torn hamstring. It was blindingly obvious we needed a left winger to go straight into the team. How we didn't get Harrison, Sinisterra, Smith-Rowe, McNeil, even Iwobi...

Instead we were sodding around with Hall to play as a central midfielder apparently. We let the Guaita nonsense go on far too long and seemingly didn't know what to do with Johnstone so panicked into getting Henderson.

Other clubs know what they're doing 2 years out and we didn't know what was happening in the next 5 minutes.

Agree with this, if there's one thing that we have been lacking in, is planning ahead. Quite a few occasions it's felt like we've done things in the last minute of the transfer window or panic-bought players (Sakho, Benteke and probably Henderson) without any real clear plan.

But the set up has changed when Textor signed up, it was completely different when Harris and Blitzer signed up, Parish had 40%, so he bought 30% of Parish, and some from the other three original buyers, maybe, H and B didn't like that, just conjecture, but it would answer a few questions, Parish didn't want anyone to have a majority holding, and H&B wouldn't touch the virtually bankrupt Texter with a barge pole
