A week ago nobody gave us a chance against Liverpool (myself included).
Now everyone is saying we will roll wet spam over. I really hope that is right but I just get a sense the way this season has gone that it could come back and bite us in the arse and we lose.

Not being a doom merchant just want to keep some perspective as one win does not make all the bad of this season go away… that said I really hope we stuff em.

This past week for me has been a real rollercoaster and one of the best for a long time. Firstly, my wife gave me the Palace Centenary watch for my birthday! Then we won against all odds at Anfield with a total team class act, (one of my best feeling days for quite a while) and then finally today I learnt that what was looking like a nasty bladder cancer tumour is actually benign! What a week!! If we beat the SPAM on Sunday, it will be icing on the cake.

It looks under Glasner we have both a set up structure to be competitive and then a specific formula of tactical initiatives against each specific team. Last year we were comfortable 4-3 winners (a game I flew over for from Canada), this year we should have a chance of beating them by two clear goals. My only concern is we get caught out on the break, so solid defending and tracking back still required,
COYP

We will need to defend corners better than we did against Liverpool. I remember the 4-3 game against WHU when we played them off the park but let in 3 goals all from set piece crosses. In the Liverpool game having Lerma and Clyne as centre halves helped with dealing with Diaz and Salah on the ground but from corners we lost the first header so often we were lucky at times not to concede from the knock downs. I will be happy if Richards is back to help out.
I can't see us not scoring though, particularly if we play like we did in the first half against Liverpool.
I think 3-1 could be the score.

Good news is Bowen looks to be out injured, he has been one of their shining lights over the last few months.

Well some of us predicted a win v the scousers even if it was more in hope than anything else .
Spam like Liverpool (other teams are available) have covered up their weaknesses by running around like lunatics for 8 months ,they are knackered .

We on the other hand have gone through the same 8 months at a stroll giving the impression of being unfit and uninterested in even crossing the half way line never mind threatening the opposition goal . Its akin to rope a dope ,we are now ready to come out punching , fresh , fit and firing on all fronts .

And we still need a striker

I suspect that the team will have a new found confidence in all departments and with us behind them on Sunday I am expecting a Palace win - maybe 2-1

Well if we can’t put a 2 or 3 wins together now, when will we?

2-0

I have now sufficient funds to last me the rest of my life. Provided I don't buy anything.
