Crystal Palace
Palace failed to score tonight, at a rain-swept Selhurst Park, despite having 21 goal attempts to Huddersfield's nine. Clinton Morrison, Mikael Forssell and David Hopkin all had good chances to win it for The Eagles, but could not put them away.
Crystal Palace and Huddersfield shared the points in a crucial battle to avoid the drop. Both sides played with caution in a scrappy first half.
The first chance was for Clinton Morrison who fired wide from 20 yards after 19 minutes.
At the other end Dutchman Dean Gorre saw his shot go over and Delroy Facey saw his 20-yard shot saved by Alexandrs Kolinko.
After the interval Palace was the better team and Morrison and Mikael Forssell forced Huddersfield goalie Nico Vaesen to make a few good stops.
On the hour mark it was again Morrison whose shot went wide, followed by attempts from MATTHEW UPSON and David Hopkin.
Huddersfield's best chance in the second half came from Facey who headed wide.
With five minutes to go Morrison shuold have won it for Palace. Morrison was played onside, with only the keeper to beat, but Vaesen magnificent save and ensured the Terriers came away with a point.
The Eagles are 19th in the Nationwide Division One, two points clear from a relegation spot.
