Barrett departs SE25

July 5 2011

Adam Barrett

Adam Barrett

Adam Barrett has left Crystal Palace and joined AFC Bournemouth.

A signing from Southend United, Barrett made just 9 appearances for the Eagles over a one year spell with the club.

Competition from club captain Paddy McCarthy, Claude Davis and on-loan Anthony Gardner meant that the 31-year-old struggled to secure a regular first team place.

Barrett has signed a two year contract with the Cherries, and will link up with former Palace player Lee Bradbury who is now the first team manager at the League One club, and former Eagles goalkeeper Darryl Flahavan who signed for them last week.
