David Wright
Crystal Palace midfielder DAVID WRIGHT has signed for Colchester United on a free transfer.
The 32-year-old has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent after being frozen out of the first team.
He made just one start and two substitute appearances for the Eagles this term and gained match time with a spell on loan at Gillingham in September.
A statement on the Palace website read: "Palace midfielder DAVID WRIGHT has had his contract cancelled by mutual consent today (Friday 25th January) and he will now join up with John Ward's Colchester United.
"WRIGHT was Palace's first signing under George Burley in 2010 and he went on to make 57 appearances as both a right-back and, latterly, a holding midfielder. Everybody at the club would like to wish DAVID all the best for the future."
