Crystal Palace moved out of the bottom three with a 1-0 victory at home to Stoke City.
Jason Puncheon atoned for his penalty miss against Tottenham last week by scoring the winner in the second half.
Joel Ward headed the first chance of the game wide from Yannick Bolasie's cross before Julian Speroni had to be alert to push Charlie Adam free-kick's around the post.
After the break, Adam blasted just off target for the Potters and then Palace went ahead in the 51st minute through Puncheon.
The on-loan Southampton winger picked up the ball in the right of the area and eventually fired a shot that went through the Stoke defenders and into the far corner.
Adam again went close with a long ranger and sub Stephen Ireland blasted over.
Jack Butland made an outstanding triple save to keep out Ward, Puncheon and Marouane Chamakh.
And then, after sub Aaron Wilbraham wastefully shot wide, Butland somehow denied Puncheon from close range near the end.
The win was Palace's first since Boxing Day and a day of celebration for former Potters manager Tony Pulis.
