Priestfield Stadium, Wednesday 7.45pm
Crystal Palace
Gills Manager, Andy Hessenthaler, is set to name the same side which earned a point against Watford on Sunday night.
Ty Gooden will be missing as he has yet to recover from a groin injury he suffered recently, as will Roland Egde who is currently out with a leg injury.
Another absentee is Mark Patterson who has yet to fully recover from a numbness he suffered in his left side after injuring his shoulder in a recent match.
This all means that Gillingham’s starting eleven will be lining up as follows: Bartram, Hope, Ashby, Nosworthy, King, Osborn, Browning, Smith, Samuel, Onuora, Ipoua.
Steve Kember and Terry Bullivant are set to name the same eleven that demolished Crewe ALEXandra 4-1 on Saturday.
Goalkeeper Matt Clarke was replaced by Latvian international ALEX KOLINKO at half time on Saturday due to a back injury. Clarke came off due to a twinge in his back that he picked up during training on Friday, however the problem is unlikely to be serious enough to force him to miss Wednesday night’s game.
Another player who was subbed off on Saturday was midfielder Aki Riihilahti. The Finnish international picked up a thigh strain and was replaced by Steve Thomson. If Riihilahti fails to recover in time Thomson will line up in the centre of midfield alongside Simon Rodger.
On the right hand side David Hopkin will once again replace wing-back Jamie Smith who is still recovering from keyhole surgery on his troubled knee.
Finally, on loan defender Christian Edwards will once again line up in defence after making his debut on Saturday. Edwards will be looking to impress the management team and Simon Jordan while on his month long loan in an attempt to secure a permanent move to Selhurst Park.
