After a nightmare start to the season, Crystal Palace not only avoided relegation but finished midtable. Here's part 2 of our recap.

January

Palace fight back from a goal down to win 2-1 away at Southampton.

Scott Dann and Jason Puncheon are to miss the rest of the campaign after suffering cruciate knee-ligament injuries against Manchester City.

The Eagles are knocked out of the FA Cup at the first hurdle after a 2-1 loss at Brighton.

Palace continue their excellent form in the Premier League with a 1-0 win at home to Burnley.

Forward Keshi Anderson transfers to Swindon Town for an undisclosed fee.

Palace put in a shambolic defensive display to lose 4-1 away at Arsenal.

Midfielder Erdal Rakip joins Palace on loan from Benfica until the end of the season.

Polish defender Jaroslaw Jach also signs – on a three-and-a-half year contract.

Winger Sullay Kaikai moves to Charlton Athletic on loan until the end of the season.

Palace are held to a 1-1 London derby draw away at West Ham United.

Striker Freddie Ladapo signs for Southend United for an undisclosed fee.

Spanish keeper Vicente Guaita will join Palace on a free transfer from Getafe at the end of the season.

Palace have to make do with a 1-1 draw at home to Newcastle United.

They are dealt a blow with news that Wilfried Zaha is to be ruled out for a month with a knee injury.

Crystal Palace crash to a 3-1 loss away to Everton.

The club submit a planning application to Croydon Council for the expansion of Selhurst Park.

Former Liverpool goalkeeper Diego Cavalieri joins as cover until the end of the season.

Palace are defeated 3-2 by a stoppage-time winner at home to Manchester United.

Defender Pape Souare wins a recall to the Senegal national side.

The Eagles put up a late fight but are beaten 2-1 away to Chelsea.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is desperate to help Palace climb out of relegation danger after recovering from injury.

Chief Steve Parish vows to invest more money into Selhurst Park once the club gets the nod to build a new Main Stand.

Palace secure a huge three points in their battle to beat the drop with a 2-0 win at Huddersfield Town.

But they again concede a late goal to lose 2-1 at home to Liverpool.

April

Palace let the points slip again by drawing 2-2 at AFC Bournemouth.

They then secure a valuable three points in their fight against relegation with a 3-2 win over Brighton.

Palace and Watford share the spoils in a goalless draw at Vicarage Road.

Roy Hodgson's side edge closer to Premier League safety with an emphatic 5-0 win at home to Leicester City.

May

The Eagles guarantee their Premier League status with a 2-1 win away at Stoke City.

Winger Wilfried Zaha wins the club's 2017/18 Player of the Year award.

Palace end their season with a 2-0 win at home to West Bromwich Albion.

Ruben Loftus-Cheek is named in the England 23-man squad for the FIFA World Cup 2018 in Russia.
