Crystal Palace winger Jason Lokilo has signed for FC Lorient on a season's loan.
The 19-year-old Belgian, who has been a regular for Richard Shaw's U23 side, has been unable to break into the Palace line-up.
Newspaper reports suggest there is an option in the deal to make the move permanent if Lokilo impresses at the French club who play in Ligue 2.
Lokilo was given a first-team opportunity by former Eagles manager Frank de Boer during pre-season last year but was unable to kick on after he left.
The teenager joined Palace's Academy from Anderlecht three years ago and his only senior appearance was against Ipswich Town in the Carabao Cup last season.
More fringe players are likely to be loaned out before Friday's transfer deadline, especially after Palace have offered them to Football League clubs at no cost if they play games.
