Leicester Nest Season

We all can have hope about what can be achieved with team spirit, hunger, desire and a good manager. But let us not forget a little luck. For Leicester it was the perfect storm. This thread isn't about Palace, our failings or what we will do next season. it is about the expectations Leicester fans will have now. My question is this, if Christmas comes and Leicester are out of the Champions League and are sitting in 13th place, do you think their fans will be unhappy and if so unhappy enough to want the manager sacked? Fans are fickle and their expectations are now high. I hope they are realistic and expect a mid-table finish next season. Leicester are not a one man team but I'm not sure they can play above their level consistently again next season. I'm typically English. I wanted the underdog to win this season and next season I want them to be brought down to earth. Up the Palace!

They had no particular cup run last season. Now they have to contend with European trips. They have been the best team this season, but a lot has gone their way. Tottenham have constantly had to play the day after them for a start, which has meant they've always had to play catch up. Now Leicester will hardly see a Saturday kick off and it's doubtful they'll get through the season using 15 players, so they'll have to find a way of deepening their squad with the same quality. Again, using Tottenham as a comparison, they've struggled when they've not had their first choice central midfield pairing. If Jose can be sacked within 6 months of winning the title...

A lot is dependent of how they spend and who they might lose, I can see Mahrez and Kante departing. In terms of players they can get, they won't get the ready made stars, they might try and get one or two former top players in the twilight of their careers (a la Cambiasso). It would still be a great achievement for them to finish in the top 4 next season, especially with Guardiola and Conte coming in. It'll be interesting to see if they change their style at all.

Their Achilles Heel is also their strength. They have champions league football, guaranteed none of this namby pamby qualifier rubbish It will take a toll on them physically however it will also allow them to keep players they may have lost and attract very good new players. I think they will hover around mid-lower mid but then again I thought come January they'd fall away

They played 3 rounds in the "Capital One" cup and went out of the FA Cup in the 3rd Round.They have played a total of 41 games in all competitions and of course had no European trips. Tottenham on the other hand have played 51 games in all competitions and have had to play Europa League games in both the League and Knock-Out phases.They played 10 Europa League games.

They won't finish top 10 I don't think. Kante and Mahrez will go as they are both too good for Leicester. Vardy is average and won't have a season as good as this one. Has been a freak season with everyone being s*** and Leicester/Spurs won't be top two again. Looking forward to them getting smashed by the decent teams in Champs League. Let's see how many people give a f*** about them next season when they're back to the usual crap they are.

Everyone seems to have the same general opinion, in that they will be mid-table, especially baring in mind how few players they've used and few games they've played. The Leicester fans, quite rightly, are happy as a dog with two... but I wonder if they will take this season for what it is. A flash in the pan. If Newcastle stay up and I can see them being much improved. But as we know, it is all about what we compare things to. If Leicester compare next season to last season they'll be ok but if they compare it to this one then maybe they will implode. It will be interesting how their owners react too.

I'm thinking of having a bet on West Ham next season They have a great squad and have tied Payet down, but they will have massive spending power, huge stadium with bugger all rent !! Get ON !!!
