So the BBC's Nick Watt edited an interview with Rayner at the request of the Labour party because they did not like the original.

Anyone who still lives in the denial of an impartial BBC needs to seek therapy to allow them to live on the real world.

A pathetic insincere apology after the truth came out is meaningless.

File this with the Verify fake CV etc

Responsibility Deficit Disorder is a medical condition. Symptoms include inability to be corrected when wrong, false sense of superiority, desire to share personal info no else cares about, general hubris. It's a medical issue rather than pure arrogance.

the BBC has become very right leaning in the last few years, and the Tory govt has put their own man in the top job, so yes it is bias.

They are putting pressure on the TV licence fee to ensure the BBC toe the line.

Examples - their reluctance to publish anything on Michelle Mone, there are currently a number of Tory MPs under investigation for sexual offences that are still serving etc.

The Angela Rayner story is a non-story. She had a home and her husband had one. She moved in with him, but still used the other one. It's no big deal and if any tax is due it's minimal.
Compare that with the current PM. He held a green card whilst still being the Chancellor and his wife was a non dom despite living for years in the UK. This would have saved them millions.

I don't see the BBC questioning this.

Mrs Sunak hasn’t put any false accounts in. That is the difference. Rayner may have.
Where is the line drawn. Jailing lestor piggot cost more than he blagged. Was that wrong. The line is falsifying accounts. Cost is irrelevant when laws are broken. That is democracy and the legal system.

For me the issue is not the specifics of the Rayner case, It's that the BBC edited a piece at the specific request of a political party.

Clear example of why the licence fee needs to go, I don't care what the BBC do editorially as long as I don't have to pay for it.

That explains it then!

Those who choose to believe the interpretation of the Sun rather than the explanation given by the BBC for a perfectly logical editorial decision are perhaps the ones needing to seek therapy.

This is seeing things where nothing exists! It’s just another right wing rag wind up of the gullible seeking confirmation of their biases. Who seem to fall for it every time.

Do you truly believe the left don’t wind up their fan base in the same way and many fall for it every time. Your blinkers are getting bigger !

I am not addressing a story about the left! I am addressing yet another politically biased story about the independence of the BBC.

If and when we see a Labour government and their supporters doing much the same, as I am certain they will, then you can expect the same response from me.

It's the perceived bias against each others political beliefs. Keeps the surfs occupied whilst all politicians steal your money.

I disengage, I turn the page.

You are more guilty of that than anyone.
Surely you aren't still pretending that the BBC is neutral.

No pretence is needed. It is. It cannot be anything else. It is bound by its charter to be accurate and factual. Break its charter and Ofcom would be all over it, egged on by the right.

That those with particular world views or political beliefs find that means it doesn’t reflect their own views isn’t the least surprising.

The reason some people think it isn’t neutral is because they aren’t neutral themselves. Try reading this:-
