Funny to see a closed stand at this stage of the cup. I suppose Wigan is still a rugby town. Great when palace sang "this grounds to good for you". Also I now understand why the cup loses its appeal to the prem teams. When we were down we hoped to land a big team in the draw, now we play them every week
its a town full of losers, i,m pulling outta here to win |

i said yesterday on here...that i thought it was a great stadium, and if we develop SP i would love it to be in that mould...not a bowl type stadium.

not a bad looking stadium similar to Stokes? I think out of all the recent new build stadiums Cardiff's has looked the nicest

There was a group off to the right who definitely were at some point, short lived though. I'd heard quite bad things about the DW but I thought it was quite a good ground. It has potential if they would only fill it with some half decent fans! Not too unusual, we had both the White Horse and AW closed for a tie against Swindon few years ago.

It is a rugby town as much as Latics fans will try and argue otherwise it is ! Before Whelan came along and robbed Wigan Warriors out of a new stadium Latics were a mid table division 3 club and got very lucky under Jewell and Martinez establishing themselves in The Premier League. That is why there is such a massive divide in Wigan you are either Cherry and White or a football fan with a lot of bitterness from the football supporters about the status and history of winning towards The Wigan Warriors !
