Could Guaita have done better with any of their three goals?

I believe Wayne H might have saved at least a couple of them.

What did PVA do to deserve a 2?

Guaita 6.5 Felt a bit flappy for their second. Don't fault him for 1 or 3. But he let 3 goals in and, beyond that, did nothing amazing.

PVA 5 My main criticism would be his forward play. He's capable of much better and needs to show it. As a defender he's just a little reticent and last night was no different.

Ward 6 A head-down player who played a head-down game. Given their first came down his side I feel he could perhaps be faulted but need to watch it back. Got a few good blocks in. A point for getting his goal, since none of our forwards can.

Kelly & Tomkins 5 Not quite sure what happened with goals 1 or 2 in terms of their culpability or otherwise so a shared rating.

Schlupp 4.5 A head-down player who played a head-down game. A friend watching on telly in Oz told me he could be faulted - arguably - for all their goals. Missed a good chance and his passing is too basic.

McArthur 6 A McArthur type game. Busy, lovely cross in the 1H but up against quality opposition

Luka 6 Similar to McArthur...A Luka-type game.

Wilf 6.5 Lively but ultimately too isolated because Sclupp & PVA couldn't feed him in useful situations.

Batshuayi 5.5 Needs to show a lot more

Townsend 6 See McArthur & Luka

Subs Meyer 7 Showed for the ball, great in possession, vision. Reconnected Wilf to the team. Deserves to start over Schlupp. Should drive at teams more. It's in his locker.

Observations...we edged the half chances. The media might say it was comfortable, but for me it was fairly even in terms of dangerous moments. goals 1 & 2 were poor, goal 3 was us not reorganizing when PVA went off. we missed Sakho and AWB a lot.

give schlupp a break, he had a good game, every week someones putting the blame on to schlupp when hes been a decent player for us. yesterday he was getting stuck in finding passes. PVA has been playing bad for the last month, something needs sorting there. meyer showed his class. we miss AWB , don't really understand the 3rd sub but still.
