He was absolutely forced to during a massive injury crisis. Don’t reinvent history. No way we would have AWB now if we hadn’t had Ward out.

If they were good enough, they’d be in the team already, ala AWB. We unearth a gem every few years, but that’s about it. Nonsense. AWB only got his chance due to an injury crisis. He would still be playing outside the first team if Ward hadn’t got hurt. Roy had no choice.

If James Tomkins is injured then Sam Woods will get his chance. Scott Dann and Martin Kelly will be first choice of course. Parrot

This post has been merged from a topic called 'Should we start to bring on the academy boys' by Midlands Eagle 5 games to go..we are safe. There are a few academy boys who must be close to first team football,I reckon we should start to bring them on. Give them a taster, cant be any worse, especially up front than what we have at present.

I don't think we have any rated strikers but as mentioned, Woods (training with the first team) and Flanagan would be worth looking at. Also Aveiro whom Benfica, Ronaldo's old team, are rumoured to be interested in.
