Palace fan Eddie Izzard has made a very brave statement which I consider is to be applauded. She is a great and clever funny person who I hope wont be offended by me saying that this post might have been more appropriate to Transfer Talk.

Eddie ran 27 marathons in as many days which is a tremendous feat of endurance. She is also a Palace fan which is the pinnacle of endurance. I hope this thread doesn't include any jokes at her expense as she deserves our support and admiration.

As Eddie became famous as a bloke with an effeminate side as part of his act I’m not sure a) anyone is surprised by this and b) he/she would be offended by anything said. I’m sure it has all been heard and dealt with before. Staunch Palace fan and one for Tom now he’s changed sides maybe?

Always seemed a good bloke, and if Eddie now wants to be considered a good woman, or a good man who prefers the female pronoun, then I shall do my best to remember that fact in the unlikely event the two of us should ever meet and fall into conversation! Not really sure what else to take from this thread, or to offer in reply?
