Come on all…I’m sure we will sign a forward today. Left forward or centre forward! Holding is a waste of wages for me…so I hope Wolves or Luton beat us to him. I’d prefer a proper full back on either side.

Leicester just signed a promising young striker from Everton. Does this open the door for Iheanacho to go?

Our best defender disappears to a local rival leaving us with a player Arsenal can’t wait to get shot of. Guehi hasn’t reached his peak value yet. Another solid season and he is an £80m CH and probably a shoe in for one of the England spots. It would be poor business to let him go this season.

Hate to say it, Mateta getting a new contract means our only signing today will be Rob Holding. Let’s just hope there’s not a player moving in the other direction. Very disappointed as it’s well known we really need someone who will replace the 10 goal plus that Zaha gave us every season.

Holding is a decent signing. Better than Tomkins who is useless. Need to sign Adams or the Leicester striker. I am sure you lots mate Parish will put a rabbit out of the hat.

Looking at the window overall - again we haven't used our loan slots at all. Other teams are buying players for reasonable prices too, loads who would have suited us. Yet we're struggling to sign a centre back who sometimes plays full back - when we could play Richards and could have kept O'Brien. You have to wonder what our reputation is as some poor sides have signed much better players than us for decent prices.

I agree, why spend so much on Henderson when our replacement for Zaha is Schlupp. No Zaha replacement and still no resolution to RB or LB cover, still only 2 recognised strikers. IMO the full back positions are crucial to us in terms of progressing to the next level.
