On current form this is a game you'd expect Palace to win. Additionally we have - potentially - league positions to play for (especially if Brighton are still on 4

whereas Villa's position is unlikely to be affected and they will have played a final home game they'd dearly love to win two days more recently than us. A lot may hinge on who partners Wharton. I'm inclined to agree it's a game early for lerma to start; great as Jairo's been at helping shut up shop for the last 15 minutes, I don't think he has the offensive capabilities OG requires from starters. Ignoring the clickbait's charmingly loyalist but wholly unrealistic recommendation of Ozoh, it's got to be a choice between Schlupp or Richards (with Clyne or Ward in the back 3). Not that either are the most convincing central midfielder, I'd go for Richards myself. I don't rate him - which will probably mean he becomes one of the best in the world. I have never thought he has the physical attributes for the English game. A year in the championship would do him wonders but my guess is that he'll be off at some stage soon. Just my opinion.

Hoping Hughes will start or Lerma in Richard's spot at LB and Richards with Wharton in the middle I think. This will be a hard fought match as both teams will want to end positively. No one will be 'on the beach'. 3-1 win to Palace. Edited by Oddball2021 (13 May 2024 11.56am)

They should have secured CL qualification by the weekend. Still wont be an easy game, but suspect there will be some celebrations midweek. Can't imagine Glasner staring a CB in midfield. I suspect if Lerma can give 60+mins he'll start.
