It's certainly spreading round the ground. From my vantage point in the Arthur, I swear I could detect movement in the Main Stand when Gayle equalised.
No it's true ! During 'stand up if you love palace' I couldn't believe my eyes as the whole ground stood up. Even the main stand - it was like watching an old zombie movie as they slowly got off their seats to stand !

Another very important aspect is EXPECTATION. We expected nothing this season so everything was a bonus and the supporter have reacted accordingly. By making noise. If we start thinking we've made it next year and expecting wins and another 11th place, then the atmosphere will be affected ... if we don't. EXPECT another hard slog and help the team along with atmosphere like this season ... and then who knows!
I expect continued noise for our team. Long may it continue. Loving it! Still

I have sat in every part of the ground over the years and each has its merits and of course it's drawbacks. We are all a bit self congratulatory about the atmosphere and I think this has been exaggerated on occasions. That said, the second half on Monday was different class! I was in the main stand and let me assure you it was kicking in there. Let's enjoy the moment and the fact we are attracting new supporters - they are the future. Bring on the Sunday armada!

Yup, of course we are self-congratulatory. But success breeds success. If we don't merchandise it then it may not grow as well as it could. Let our legend grow in advance of our capabilities, I have no problem with that. As long as we as a fan-base catch up and deliver. Talking ourselves up and having the press do it for us will create momentum that can take us a long way, especially as we know we are genuinely unique through the years of effort put in to grow the HF.

My 'gripe' will be if we do start attracting 'new' or have returning 'old' fans that it limits the opportunty for tickets even more - commitmenst mean I will only get to around 10 games a season at home - 12 if I am lucky so season ticket not an option Its hard enough now and a bit of a scramble Loving Block Y of the Arfur this season though Edited by The Sash (07 May 2014 1.03pm) Sash - so just because you won't buy a season ticket you object to new or returning fans? Who the F are you? Get a season ticket and when you can't go either give it to a mate or work with the club on their buy back scheme.

A Gooner at work was raving about the atmosphere after watching games on the telly, said he wanted to take his young son next year for the experience. He lives in our 'catchment area' so we maybe taking a new supporters from a Gooner.

Fair points - all this media about the atmosphere is attracting attention and hopefully it will be cool to support CP not the others. People in work come up to me now to talk about Palace and we have an opportunity now to kick on. Fvcking brilliant times!

Crystal Palace: The New Face Of English Football? Minor criticism; could have got an up-to-date photo.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

Either City fans or Villa fans were singing "So Here's To You" quite a lot last night.

Gotta wonder what the hell happened to English footy when in a stadium full with 75,000 or 60,000 you can still hear the players shouting sometimes. Maybe, in hindsight, not being long term successes in The Prem under Noades and the rest tenure was the best thing that happened to us. We would probably be as quiet and corporate with the worst of them by now. *shudders* Edited by Kermit8 (08 May 2014 10.31am)
