I love The Smiths, less interested in his solo work, but its pretty much a universal agreement that Morrisey is a c**t.

Having seen his gig in Birmingham last night, I concur that he is a c***. A self indulgent and hypocritical one at that. Moans like f*** about capitalism and government, no matter what colour, and then goes on to play most of his latest album and tell us all that his new single can be downloaded from iTunes. He insisted that only vegetarian fare was sold at the hospitality suites, so, no fish or meat or chicken, that was acceptable. But, to the disgust of my already vegetarian wife, and me, played graphic videos from what looked like 30 years ago of animal mistreatment in slaughter to the accompaniment if the already poignant enough "meat is murder". The song should be enough on its own to nudge conscience.

Having said all that, the band and music were excellent and the lyrics were typically abrasive and his voice superb. More Smiths and non WPINOYB tracks though would,have created a better balance.

Just leave the "if you eat meat you are all evil c***s but buy my records anyway" shove it in your face bulls*** please.
