I dont view over crowding as in actual land mass used...more the utilities and services within a given area. Looking at schools, hospitals and transport etc. yes the capital is over crowded. Read a few things that suggest when Cross Rail is completed its max capacity will already be exceeded as an example.

The fact it's now just under £700 per month to rent a studio flat in Wallington says all you need to know, overcrowded & overpriced. People are forced to pay or leave the area.

Pawson Palace has made a valid point about infrastructure. Yes we can build upwards, but will that solve problems like water shortages and the ability to actually travel around the capital? Edited by Hoof Hearted (07 Feb 2015 10.29am)

Nevertheless I made a valid point that cannot be shrugged off. Compared to Dhaka in Bangladesh (15M inhabitants) London is not "overcrowded" but who wants to live with 10 people to a tiny room made of corrugated iron and sharing a toilet with 200 people?
