We argue about it but shrug our shoulders and say they're all at it. But not a lot is being done about it is it?

I have little doubt politicians of all parties will simply deflect the issue away from themselves and the rich bankers/financiers/captains of industry that support whatever party they represent. The blame will alight on the usual suspects and we will see another bout of civil servant bashing. A few more Senior highly trained HMRC officials will be forced out of their jobs and welcomed with open arms into the big banks big accountancy firms and big business at salaries at three, four times plus what they were getting and use the knowledge they have to go from gamekeeper to poacher and devise ever more ways around the system The answer to all this is to invest more in HMRC to pay it's tax professionals more and give them proper legislation with teeth. The average senior HMRC tax professional will each and every year bring in around between 20 to 100 times their salary year in year out.

Just to add, the guy at the centre of this says he fears for his life. I saw an interview with him and you really can tell that it's cost him a lot to go public. Over the last couple of years whistleblowing has become a dirty word. Disgusting really since it fundamentally relates to wrongdoing.
