Terribly tragic that he was found dead yesterday. But what on earth was a 7 year old doing out at 8pm seemingly on his own or with his friends?

I was thinking the same thing. I may have misread, but didn't the boy have a history of wandering on to this site? Edited by JL85 (28 Jul 2015 7.41am)

You're right, I think it was the Grandmother who said he'd been on the site before. I can't get my head round letting such a young child out on his own let alone near a building site that he's got on to before.

Growing up in the eighties I always had to be in before dark, was never allowed out on my own and had to stay away for building sites. These days kids are out all hours and go anywhere they want despite the dangers.

It now transpires he was out, alone, at 8pm, playing in a park 40 minutes walk from his house. The thought of my 7 year old going anywhere alone sends a shiver down my spine, let alone taking a stroll to a park 40 f***in minutes away...
