If Edmund can surprise Goffin in the first match it could be in the bag with a day to spare. But I expect it to be 1-1 after today. We've beat the other 3 grand slam nations on the way to the final so I'd say it would be a remarkable achievement.

He's getting wiped in the 5th set but fair play to him, he's done better than I expected and has at least put some mileage into Goffin's legs.

1-1 now as Murray easily wins his tie. Cannot see him losing his other singles tie, or the doubles with his brother. Should be an overall win to GB (or Scotland as the SNP will see it).

I think they might have nailed down team of the year at SPOTY! Incredible work from Andy Murray but the whole team have done well considering we were in the Euro/Africa zone a few years ago.

Its hard to quantify but Edmund taking Goffin to five sets on Friday certainly would have helped GB's cause. I'm sure Leon Smith (GB captain) would have said to Edmund obviously we want you to win but if Goffin wins the early sets (which he didn't Friday) to keep him on court as long as possible. Then of course Goffin played in the doubles on Saturday just like A.Murray. I would of thought they would have rested him on the Sat. for the singles match against Murray yesterday.
