Ayew troubled our own players all night long in Villa game. I would imagine that teams with bigger wallets will be looking to entice him.

BTW if Pards was telling the truth (that we're not looking at any of the strikers we've been linked with) then it seems to me the three we are most likely pursuing are Berahino, Bony and Ayew. Benteke might be a long shot. Those are the strikers who are likely available, suitable, and we've not been mentioned. Given how much Liverpool paid for him at the start of the season, I'd say its a shot in the dark

However, I do think Klopp is rebuilding that squad and I do think he would let Benteke go for the right offer. Whether we are able to make that offer is an entirely different question and probably unlikely.

most impressive player for me tonight, definitely would add to our squad but dont see us bringing anyone in anytime soon Leandro Bacuna, a close second.... One swallow doesn't make a summer...having watched them numerous times this season Bacuna is woeful. Ayew is a different proposition but no better than Punch and just as inconsistent

I can't see Villa selling one of their best players,I think they will take the gamble and hope they survive this season.

I suspect that offer would need to be at least 35m or a loan deal, of course it ended up working for West Ham with Andy Carroll, who Liverpool had paid Newcastle 30m for... But Benteke is the kind of player Liverpool have often needed. They'd be mugs to let him go.

This post has been merged from a topic called '(suggestion ) Jordan Ayew' by james03 I'd like us to try and go for him as a makeweight in any deals for our fringe players they want..decent talent thoughts?

With the possibility of Jedi moving to Villa could a deal involving Jordan Ayew be a good move ?

Yeah it's worth a try, I rate ayew he's inconsistent but there's a player in there no doubt. Thing is what would he cost ?
