Looking at booking a few days away (probably 3 nights) with the wife and baby. I'm thinking of Lille. Has anyone been before? Is there enough to do for 3 days without getting bored? Any other recommendations? Maybe Paris? Can't be bothered to mess about with flying any and Ebbsfleet is only 20 mins down the road from me. If you want to guarantee you get a few days away, anywhere but France is a better option right now. Train, ferry or flight... they can f*** it up in a heartbeat.

I love the place but booking a date to travel to or from there is always provisional.

I didn't even know about this before posting but they've f***ed up the Welsh fans with a flash strike called just last night. Fans are having to fly to Geneva, Amsterdam, Milan or Santander and drive into France.

Mmmmm, this is making me think twice. I haven't heard of anything on the Eurostar but as you rightly say they can fcuk it up in a heartbeat.

I go away yearly with a mate for a week away from our other halfs, he's wanting to book Lyon in April 2017 and can't understand why I'm loathe to book France a few days before we're due to depart.

What about somewhere like Honfleur? Absolutely beautiful and dead easy to get to if you take the ferry to Le Havre.

How old is the baby . You can go from ebbsfleet station to Paris now which saves the faffing about going into London Edit.. just seen you have mentioned ebbsfleet already .. great minds and all that x Edited by Michaelawt85 (25 Jul 2016 9.16pm)
