Most sprint world records have been achieved by proven cheats, so it is reasonable to speculate that the others are questionable as well. If guys down the loacal gym are happy to do "roids" to look good then someone as obsessed with winning as an Olympic athelete will surely think nothing of it. The cheats are usually one step ahead of the testers and it is not in the interests of the IOC to expose the games as a farce.

You could also argue as it's invariably the richest and most powerful countries winning most of the medals, natural talent and endeavour won't win out on it's own if you find yourself born and bred in Albania (even Kosovo have won a gold).
