You are probably wrong, there are a lot of people who have doubts about his achievements, I am one. It may or may not be justified but he has been closely associated with too many cheats over the past few years. Throw in the contempt he showed for the London Marathon, the fact that he is now based in America (allegedly for tax reasons) and you have someone that perhaps people don't feel connected to. Chris Froome is as equally successful but again doesn't seem to have a connection with the public. I think Murray was a worthy winner but would have like Brownlee to win Ryan Giggs won it even though he was banging his brothers bird. Lewis Hamilton won - he's a blatent tax exile

We nearly changed our minds when he cried at Wimbledon but then reverted back to our opposition when his miserableness reverted back to full force.
