Hi guys, I am hoping the Palace network will help here. I am looking for a guy called Harry who is good friends with Chocky . All I know is they used to drink in The Conqueror together back in the day. This is pretty urgent so if anybody knows, or can get me in touch with Harry please PM me. Thanks.

I have to share some very sad news with you all.

Ex-Mod, founding BBser member, all round top fella, and brother to Biggus and I, is very very ill.

He was rushed into hospital last week with severe stomach pains, having to miss his mums funeral. After tests a very large tumour was discovered on his liver and kidneys which is inoperable.

He has maybe 24 hours left.....I can't believe I am writing this......he is on very strong doses of morphine and is unaware of what is wrong, he is unconcious and fading very fast.

He isn't alone, people are with him, I will be going to the hospital tomorrow.

Please spare a moment to give him a though. We are desperately trying to trace his freind Garry or Harry, from his days drinking in The Conquering Hero, so if anybody on here knows him please please message me or Biggus.

As I have said, he is comfortabe, warm, not alone and is not in pain. Please don't text him and myself and Biggus will keep everyone informed.

I'm a little confused on this post. Ian (Chocky) was a very old dear friend of mine. We attended several hundred away trips together with Harry on occasions too. Has he truly passed away? Lost contact after he moved to Spain!

Yep, Chocky passed away after a short illness on saturday 21st, just after the final whistle vs Everton. His funeral is tomorrow in Fuengirola.

So sorry you had to find out this way. If you go to the BBS cpfc.org there is a long thread for his memory.
