Quality signings only needed

I don't really buy into all this we need five or six players to come in. When i realised how many players were actually missing yesterday in the Cup, it is quite amazing how much quality there is in our squad. We should not be where we are. Surely Big Sam can get something out of what he has. Also a host of new signings can be disruptive at this time of the season. I don't understand either all this excitement over signing Mbemba from Newcastle in a swap with Townsend. He is a five foot eleven centre half who has only played seven games for Newcastle since he was signed last summer. We need Townsend to stay now that Schlupp is injured for a few weeks. Surely with the likes of Delaney, Dann and Tomkins at the club, we can eventually find a system to stop conceding goals. I just think there is a lack of confidence at the moment

When I think of potential signings I think of some of the utter hogwash we have in the middle of midfield - I'm not going to name who I have in mind. Unless we can get in good solid midfielders in that vital "Engine room" then I'm afraid any strengthening of other areas could prove fruitless in our quest to stay in the PL.

When I think of potential signings I think of some of the utter hogwash we have in the middle of midfield - I'm not going to name who I have in mind.

Unless we can get in good solid midfielders in that vital "Engine room" then I'm afraid any strengthening of other areas could prove fruitless in our quest to stay in the PL.

He's cover/an alternative for Zaha on the right and, even if he supposedly doesn't like it, he can play perfectly well on the left. We have Dann, Tomkins, Delaney plus Kelly who can all play at CB. What we urgently need is a no-nonsense DM, to protect the defence, and a creative AM to liven up the service through the middle. Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I agree. He's cover/an alternative for Zaha on the right and, even if he supposedly doesn't like it, he can play perfectly well on the left. Well Cabaye certainly hasn't lived up to expectation has he ?

At Sunderland, Allardyce brought in Kirschoff and Khazri to support his central midfield.They already had the likes of Bridcutt,Cattermole,Rodwell,M'Vila,Lens and Larsson amongst others in this vital area.
