Genuine mistake, they'd got them laid out in the dressing room but the entire team genuinely forgot to put them on

Victor Moses chucked his under arm when walking towards the tunnel. Not going to get a good response after cheating as well.

I mean no disrespect, but I really don't get the black armband obsession. I thought the teams, fans, officials et al did a magnificent job of showing their respects to the victims of the Manchester bombing, you could hear a pin drop in Wembley. We've got to the point where teams are almost wearing them every week (national teams daren't play without them) to the point that they're pretty meaningless. By all means show respect for whatever cause needs respecting, but do it prior to kickoff. But once the whistle is blown it's time for the beautiful game to be free to speak for itself. Football isn't supposed to be political and as such I would be very happpy to see an end of the black armbands.
Cynic or realist? It's a fine line! |

You might as well design them into the football kits that teams wear week in and week out and only cover them up on the odd occasion when they are not required! That would stop somebody having to remember all the time!

We don't do possession; we do defense and attack. Everything else is just wa**ing with a football. |
