If Barkley is valued at £50m I can see why Swansea would set this price. He's probably at his peak whereas Barkley still needs to develop. However, £50m for a player who isn't world class seems madness.

He's pretty invaluable to them and largely the reason they stayed up - their best player by a country mile. If they value him at £50 million for that reason I understand that. His actual worth to Swansea given the money in the premier league is probably more than that

They would've been relegated comfortably without him last year, and will likely be relegated as soon as they lose him to transfer or injury. He will score and make goals for whatever team he plays in, so he's probably well worth 50 mil if Lukaku is worth 75.
