So the OP didn't think woy was a good manager because of his disastrous England period. What? Two defeats, one against Holland with an experimental side full of debutante, the other that Iceland game.
'My heart sank when Woy was appointed'. Someone has never heard of Woy's incredible success all over Europe and then with various English clubs, not least Fulham, who have since he left, Languished among the also rans.
And the OP didn't think FdB would amount to anything in the stable stakes. This Dutch bloke could have been sensational for his modern style of play and use of youth players. Perhaps the wrong time. Hopefully Palace havent seen the last of him.
The only innapropriate thing I see here is amateur OPs writing of things they have no clue about.

It’s not a case of someone not having a clue, it’s about opinions. And I couldn’t disagree more with yours on FdB. What was it about his successful spell in charge that makes you want him back?

Then in my opinion FdB MAY have produced a modern team using youth players, ala Venables. In SP's opinion too, apparently. I still feel, in my opinion, this to be the case. When Hartlepool hired Brian Clough this untried manager had no record either.
What do you make of the OPs thoughts on Woy? Such an obvious failure when SP hired him.
