If we had just taken a measly 6 points from our first 7 games

If we hadn't scored that late winner against Stoke, or scored those two late goals against Watford, or that last gasp goal against West Ham - we would be back near where we are now. I was just writing about the two penalties on another thread but, over the course of the season it will even itself out and we will get what we deserve.

Like Lukas strike last night was likely him digging that little bit deeper to make amends for the city miss.

The tos and fros over a whole season more or less cancel themselves out, the main thing is that our upturn in form hasn't been hit badly despite a tough festive schedule. To be honest i didn't expect any points from the last 3 games and thought that would put us in a precarious position both on the table and with regards to confidence levels all round. The main point i'd like to make is that even when we do lose i can't see us going on another absurdly long winless run like under pards, we may just have found some consistency with Roy.

I suspect we are the best team outside the well healed rich boys and should be comfortably top half.

Just with the 2 penalties, we’d now be 10th. Incredible really how far we’ve come.
Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes) |
