Surname Lawless. Evidently. Was funny showing thousands how smashed he was in the middle of the day.

so I see this alleged geezer didn't turn up in court. I didn't realise that no sports allow alcohol consumption in view of the pitch. I got mashed at a rugby match last year (Scotland Wales) and we all carried several bottles of beer/cider to where we were sitting. They do, that's not correct. It is only football that has a wholesale ban. Rugby, cricket etc do but it's an offence if you drink in an area that is designated as no drinking/no alcohol. There are other offences for taking booze to a sporting event on public transport and for being drunk at a sporting event.

A bag of chips later and in you go to continue.

Not turning up to court is worse than the offence isn't it? The inconvenience in your life for a football banning order makes most behave themselves. Signing in at the local police station every Saturday, giving your passport in whenever England play abroad, although for tournaments that's not too long. Sean, give yourself in.
I'm willing to wager that returning ISIS fighters don't have this amount have this amount of restrictions put on them?

I have just read that no further action will be taken against Aguero for pushing away a pitch invader who spat and swore at him.

City are busy complaining to the FA about their fielding a referee that was willing to send one of their players off for committing a, well, sending-off offence. Rolling Shearer out on the telly to whine about how he thought it should only have been a yellow card doesn't seem to have helped.

What did amuse me about it was how the commentators reacted in the second half every time a Wigan player committed a foul. It was like they were playing red card/yellow card bingo or something because they expected the ref to even up the sides at some point. All he did though was pull yellows - to their huge disappointment I think.
