He's probably very determined and focused, hence why smiling as if he's lucky to be there for a game or 2 isn't in his mind. He knows he has to play to his maximum to compete and get up to this level. The focus and thought I would imagine is helping and reminding himself to get something from every bit of possession he gets. Whether that be a pass, a cross, a ricocheted cross from his powerful crosses that go through defenders or a corner or throw from being tackled and competed against by 2 opponents. He's probably very ambitious. I'd rather that than him grinning and not being selected again.

I was impressed with his ability to not give the ball away. His passing was neat and tidy, he also had a few good headers. I felt Benteke worked we'll with him. I would continue with this partnership and we might see a few chances converted. We do need more solidity at the back. Hopefully Sakho will be back in two weeks? Anyone know the extent of his injury? Both Sakho and Kelly back for Spurs. So defensively we should be in a better position. The problem will be scoring.

He is one bright spot at a difficult time and I hope Hodgson sticks with him. Looks promising and the sooner he gets up to speed the better. Could be a very good signing for a fraction of the Benteke price.
Some people are like Slinkies … not really good for anything, but you can’t help smiling when you see one tumble down the stairs. |

Really excited for this lad, think in time he's gonna show himself to be a class goal scorer. Seems like he's got the attributes needed at this level.

Would start him on top vs Spurs, put Riedewald in a midfield of Luka, Cabaye (leave corner kicks to teammates), MacArthur and Townsend. And stick to Fosu-M, Sakho, Tomkins and PVA at the back.
