Anyone been recently? I'm planning on going next year with mates and crossing over the land border route near that bridge on the river kwai. Would be keen to hear of any experiences - positive or negative?

Funt Sr was stationed in Burma for a time in 1944. I don't think he liked it very much but I'm sure it's come on a bit since then. Personally, I'd rather go to Hereford to cross the Bridge on the River Wye. Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham
