Interesting piece about the forthcoming TV series in today’s Observer. Apparently, one of the writers , Damon Beesley, sat next to Damien Delaney on 11 and a half hour flight.
Beesley recalls a ‘fascinating conversation about the realities of footballars’lives’ which gave him the seeds of the ideas for the TV series.
I suspect Damo hadn’t joined Palace when they met, and was yet to become a bit of a legend.

He was one of the writers on The In Betweeners which might give him an insight into a lot of footballers lives.

Really starting to get into this. Some brilliant genius comedy moments. Defo got the Inbetweeners vibe in some moments. Great footy sitcom. Highly recommend if you get a chance. It's on iplayer arm.
