Having seen the level of players injured after just one game (post lockdown) I worry that some of these players are not as fit as they should be. Our defence is a shambles and strikers (who are they) Benteke has proved himself totally incapable of scoring more than 1 or 2 goals a season. Townsend doesn't seem to be a first choice pick and Zaha brilliant though he is, is totally marked out of games.
It was a ad day when that muppet Pardew released Gayle. We should have built a team around him and later Wan Bissaka. Probably one of the finest attacking full backs in the league. Wake up Chairman, or we will once again be fighting relegation.

You've titled the thread fitness but then cained Parish for Benteke and Townsend being s***e, Zaha being marked alot and Wan Bissaka being sold. Oh and Pardew for Gayle being sold too. I'm lost.

Really? Certainly one of the best defensive fullbacks and at Manure he is BEGINNING to learn how to be an attacking fullback but he's nowhere near to Alexander-Arnold or Walker when it comes to attacking (yet).

Also I have to agree with joe_cpfc. What is the thread really about because it seems to have little to do with fitness.
