VAR checks every goal and overrules decisions for a toe nail or an elbow or a ridiculous handball.
Incidentally - we had better get used to the handball situation - apparently FIFA want it the way it is now all over the world!

The man in charge of VAR was a certain Mr A Taylor who likes to award penalties for Everton against Palace.

Can you imagine the pressure the ref is put under when several people at VAR,all measuring boot caps or shirt sleeves lengths say to a ref,"Hey Kev,we really,but really think you should look at that on the monitor.

It's not often I sympathise with the referees,but in this instance I do.

I did too, the referee was clearly under pressure there and in his ear as he was looking at the monitor as well.

I understand but if he didn’t think it was a penalty he shouldn’t give it. Perhaps the refs “club” is to close knit

Makes it VERY easy for a corrupt referee/VAR ref to change the course/result of the match and make themselves a good few quid!!

I don’t think ANY referees in this country are corrupt. The decisions should ultimately be up to them to make just like it always used to be. Stockley Park shouldn’t be involved. If they are unsure they should look at the screen and make the decision.

VAR was supposed to be for clear and obvious errors, so why was this if most people, even the ref, thought that it was not ?

The NBA Finals started last night, they had an incident where the video review took 6 minutes !!! I so hope we dont go down that road, oh we are.

Only if they have a mortgage on it. Not brilliant odds to be losing a job over. 10-1 at best for any team and I think they earn quite well tbh.
