Palace gave Manyoo a thumping at Selhurst, and The Doc was appointed Manager at Manyoo, after the game, in the Selhurst Boardrooms. Lost the Managers position at Manyoo (and his wife) when he was caught banging the club physiotherapist's wife. He said of his Manyoo sacking, "When one door shuts, anther door slams in your face" I disengage, I turn the page.

He had some of the better one liners from football people. He was watching a player whose chairman asked “What do you think of him? Half a million wouldn’t buy him” “Aye. And I’m one of them” Also his line to a now forgotten player “Your speed is deceptive, son. You’re slower than you look”.

Managed 8 league clubs in this country and also Scotland. Managed Porto and also in Australia - My brother who was in Sydney at the time talked about Docherty when he managed Sydney Olympic. He had some wonderful one-liners! Passed away at the age of 92. 90+2 years added-on time! Thoughts go out to all his family and friends. RIP. Edited by Willo (01 Jan 2021 2.32pm)

Managed 8 league clubs in this country and also Scotland.
Managed Porto and also in Australia - My brother who was in Sydney at the time talked about Docherty when he managed Sydney Olympic.

He had some wonderful one-liners!

Passed away at the age of 92. 90+2 years added-on time!

Thoughts go out to all his family and friends.
