No more wins this season

With six to go will we see another win this season or are we going to hobble over the line with 38 points ? and one win in 13 ... a real possibility IMO. Obviously enough to keep us in the prem but enough to keep Roy in a job ... ??

Despite my 'name' I'm not that pessimistic. We're unlikely to get anything out of Citeh (although we have managed to do so in each of the last 3 seasons under Hodgson - how many other clubs can say that)? We played ok last night, well enough to beat the likes of Sheff U Villa and Southampton IMO. We're unbeaten in 5 against Arsenal and come the last game, Liverpool will probably need the points to get a European place, so might just be a touch nervy.

I agree with doom and not so gloomy. Some points are still possible. Certainly banking on a win at Sheffield and maybe a couple of draws.

After the terrible year we've all had in dealing with Covid and all, I'll be pleased to end the year with 42 points. Although I seem to recall being somewhat optimistic in the 'final points lottery' by aiming for 44.

You can do it if you rednblue it!

 

Dad and I watched games standing on the muddy slope of the Holmesdale Road end. He cheered and I rattled.

Yes, we’re bad, but posts like this are the sole reason I don’t comment on these boards anymore. All positivity from the past has been trampled by moaning fans acting like black holes of sheer negativity and doom and gloom mongering.

PS - we’ll get at least 4 points off Sheff United and Villa. But we won’t go down.

No more wins is unduly pessimistic where I see wins against both Southampton and Sheffield as quite likely.
